The WayMask control registers can be used to control an L2 master's affinity to specific cache ways. The examples above all assumed that all WayMask registers had the same value. We can partition the enabled cache ways between masters, allowing more cache for a set of masters than others based on system performance requirements or preventing performance interference from a system's task associated with a specific master.
