The same typo exists in the changelogs of 3.6 and 3.7.

The same typo exists in the changelogs of 3.6 and 3.7.  I'm not sure if I should open multiple PRs or let others handle it.

Should I open multiple PRs for the 3.6 and 3.7 changelogs or will this automatically be applied to previous versions?

Nope. The master branch is good (it was fixed in another PR)
