🚀 The feature

The next release of TorchServe(v0.10) will be the last major TorchServe release with support for macOS x86 binaries

  • This is a deprecation notice for TorchServe macOS x86 binaries starting in 0.11 release.
  • This could also apply to the minor release (0.10.1) depending on the timeline of 0.10.1 & availability of PyTorch 2.3
  • Older versions of TorchServe will continue to support macOS x86

This also means we stop testing/running regressions on macOS x86.

We are already supporting testing on arm64 Mac

Motivation, pitch

Starting in PyTorch 2.3, macOS x86 binaries will no longer be published. Issue referenced below

pytorch/pytorch#114602

This means, the next release of TorchServe including PyTorch 2.3 will not macOS x86 binaries

Alternatives

You can continue to install TorchServe from source using python ts_scripts/install_from_src.py
