SQLite is unstable, potentially faster startup, but not always. Currently SQLite database isn't automatically optimized, so it will grow big and will take longer to open and to process, some users even encountered abnormal high CPU/RAM/Disk usage because of a very big temporary file.
Currently qBittorrent doesn't make backups of SQLite database file, so if you're low on free space, get sudden crash or constantly experiment with various qBit versions, then there's a chance your entire database file gets corrupted. Fast resume files backups aren't automatically made either, but at least with them it seems safer and you should be able to see in execution log tab or log file if any torrent or resume file failed to load. So use whatever seems faster or more convenient, in both cases you should leave enough free space on your main drive and periodically exit qBit and then make backups to have something to recover. You can always press the subscribe button on the links I gave in the beginning to get notified of related progress and discussions, because currently I've no clue if and when will SQLite database ever be considered to be set as default or at least not be shown to be experimental. |

Thank you...I read through the other discussions. Another point to keep in mind is when private trackers use API keys. API keys can change, and there are existing scripts to update the QBT files. |
