Hello! Sorry I'm not a developer and I don't know how to report bugs, but I spent hours trying to solve the issue and want to report in case other people have it as well. When the tool is installed, and Edge is he default browser it won't open any links at all. I think other people are affected as well (example: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftedge/forum/all/when-i-click-on-a-link-it-doesnt-open-the-page-and/fef001ec-7648-497a-aacb-43a0758a5d06). When I uninstalled MSEdgeRedirect the problem resolved on its own, so I'm positive the issue is with this tool.

What happened:

  1. Installed Vivaldi and had it my default browser
  2. Uninstalled it, made Edge as the default browser
  3. Links stopped opening from other apps (like email client or any Office suite).

I specifically checked and I'm sure that Edge was the default one for all protocols, including HTTP and HTTPS. The links opened fine when I had another browser as the default one. Thank you!

This should have been fixed in 0.7.5.0 and I'm unable to reproduce.

Are you referring to links within Edge? Or in applications that aren't edge that would open in the default browser?

Additionally, can you confirm if you were using Active or Service Mode?

Using 0.7.5.3 and nothing launches.
Also of note, launching chrome from the star menu does not work either. But chrome itself does open.

I'm having the same problem. The link in applications that aren't edge that would not be opened in the default browser "Edge".. I use 0.7.5.3 on win10 latest verison.
I installed the Active Mode first, and found that this mode automatically creates a new user "Profile" folder and uses it as default whenever I launch Edge , while my main profile is under "Proflie 3" folder.
So I used the ps1 batch to uninstall this mode and install the Europe Mode.
After that I found the Europe Mode dosen't work for me at all, so I installed the Active Mode again. This is all I did before the problem arose.

PS: the Active Mode can let me pypass the strict of Chinese Bing and Copilot, while the Europe Mode can not.

the Europe Mode dosen't work for me at all

means edge://settings options in Active Mode are more than in Europe Mode.

Now I'm in European mode for a week, but I cannot tell any different edge://settings options between default and European mode.
