sync() method of MultiNodePipelineBase classes does not work with intermediate calls as follows:

pipeline.someCommand(...);
pipeline.someCommand(...);
pipeline.sync();
pipeline.someCommand(...);
pipeline.someCommand(...);
pipeline.sync();

This feature should be supported.
