Wi‐Fi Connection

Basic concept

On DxO-ONE, Wi-Fi is handled via a hibernated Linux OS which is only woken up to handle Wi-Fi connection and otherwise stays suspended.

Wi-Fi connection modes

DxO-ONE supports two different modes of connection via Wi-Fi:

1. Connect via Wi-Fi AP (aka "Wi-Fi Indoor"):

The Smartphone app copies its currently active Wi-Fi AP-configuration to the DxO-ONE, both connect to the same AP and the App reconnects to the Camera over Wi-Fi then.

Open ports are promoted via Bonjour:

2. Direct connection (aka "Wi-Fi Outdoor"):

The DxO-ONE creates a Wi-Fi AP and the Smartphone connects to it directly. Characteristics after that will likely be the same as "Wi-Fi Indoor"
