Hi there! 👋

I'm Ricardo Martins and here I'll talk in a little about me.

💻 I've been working with IT Infrastructure since 2003 and with Cloud Solutions since 2012 in multiple companies, from startups to big enterprises. My experience has brought me multicultural and diverse expertise in working with customers and companies from different industries (telco, media, retail, education, oil and gas). In 2015, I joined Microsoft where I built strong skills in different roles like Cloud Architect, Technical Trainer, and Infrastructure Engineer. In January 2023, I joined Red Hat as Managed OpenShift Black Belt, where I had the opportunity to work at the world’s leading provider of open-source solutions with cloud-native technologies. It was a unique experience, akin to drinking water straight from a fire hydrant. Then in April 2024, I returned to Microsoft as a Principal Cloud Solutions Architect in the Digital Native's team, working with the most innovative late-stage startups on the planet, helping them to succeed on Azure.

I have been educating, designing, training, and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of enterprise customers. I'm experienced in Linux and open-source implementations, infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, high availability and n-tier architecture design. Always working with ownership and deep involvement in the full process life cycle, from conception and design to infrastructure implementation, instrumentation, and testing. Ability to diagnose, deploy, debug, and adapt (reconfiguration) of systems.

👍 Special interests: Cloud Technologies, Linux and OSS, DevOps, CloudOps, Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure as a Code, and Content Development.

💬 I’m also a huge passionate about communities, tech talks, and an evangelist of the Cloud and DevOps culture. As a former systems engineer, I understand that this is the path we should all pursue, being closer and closer to software development, not necessarily as a developer, but as a person of infrastructure who knows what a developer really needs and the ability to deliver it in a simple, autonomous and fast way.

I'm a learning advocate that likes to translate knowledge, data, and information into strategic learning assets to drive successful outcomes. I'm passionate about building technical education that helps people advance in their careers. Then I truly believe in the "We Learn. We Share. We Thrive." So I've been creating and sharing technical content actively. I like to be known for being someone who unblocks the potential of others, especially through knowledge sharing and tech evangelism. I love to share with the community whenever I build something that can help others.
