What the point of app? Why not use wifi directly?

In some situations you cant use wifi/3g - slow speed, always disconnections, no wifi at all, etc. But if you have BB with fat bandwith, why dont use it and charge your device at the same time?

About 100 mbit p/s, which is strange, i thought will be much more, maybe i miss something.

MTP protocol doesn't work on linux. Can i transmit files to android device using this tool?

Indeed. Just run some of file transfer server (ftp/samba/etc) on android side, and connect to it using 10.10.10.2 ip.

Why Windows is not supports? Are you one of the windows haters?

I have small experience in Windows programming. I'd like to support it, but have have not much free time for research. Maybe somebody from open source community will be doing this work.
