Geecxx

IRC bot written in C++11.

Main goal: URL detection and web page title retrieval.

Build

This project is using CMake as its build system.

$ git clone --recursive https://github.com/romainletendart/geecxx.git
$ cd geecxx
$ mkdir build && cd build
$ cmake ..
$ make
$ make install

After that, you should get an executable called geecxx.

Usage

geecxx [options] <server> <port> <channel>

Optional arguments:
  --key arg              the protection key for the channel
  --nick arg (=geecxx)   the bot's nickname

Generic options:
  -h [ --help ]          produce help message

Example

$ ./geecxx --key mychannelkey --nick GeecxxBot localhost 6667 "#mychannel"

Note: You might need to use "" around the channel name to avoid wrong interpretation of the "#" character by the shell you are using.
