Having a very hard time installing netcdf libraries, anyway....I think if we do this we may want to create a sep package since netcdf installs could create significant installation problems

@emhart I know you played around with netcdf. Any insight on best practice for installing netcdf and dependencies? brew method worked, but still can't install the ncdf4 package
