The reason I used an HTML <img> tag here is to support Retina resolution wherever possible.

This is something we're working on for all Shields metadata badges in general but Michael from Gemfury already supports it: http://badge.fury.io/for/rb/bundler

@indirect Crap. Looks fuzzy? What browser/OS are you using? It looks okay in Chrome for Mac:

I'm specifically curious because that's basically the solution we plan to use for double resolution badges on the Shields API soon. So I'd rather avoid making things fuzzy for most people.

LGTM in Safari 7.0.1 on a Retina MacBook Pro.

In Safari on a non-retina MacBook Air it looks... fuzzier to me. I think just a side-effect of scaling down vs having pixel-fonts. :(
