Patched Cascadia Code font is bolder / more blurry than the original

I noticed that the patched Cascadia Code font differs in several aspects from the original font. It is especially noticeable with bold the bold font face.

Edit: Okay, noticed that the font included in nerd-fonts is over a year old which is a lot for a such a young font like Cascadia

What I tried now is patch the newest version of Cascadia code. But no there is another issue that the letters become taller: #519 (comment)

This is not a bug with the patcher. The variable TTF is the recommended font by the type designer of Cascadia. But Nerd Font patcher / fontforge uses static version. It's the two original font types that already differ. Relevant:
