Summary

Clarify in the SATRE document that the logical segregation of project resources is what's important. Physical separation of e.g. shared servers is not required.

Source

Private discussion with an SDE

Detail

2.1.8: Your TRE must ensure that any shared services are only available to users working on the same project.

There's some confusion about whether some services such as a shared Git server is acceptable for hosting shared services. We should clarify this (e.g. in the Guidance) that this is about logical segregation. It's fine to have things like shared git or database servers as long as project permissions are in place so a user in a project can only access the git repositories/databases that belong to that project.

Intended Output

Update guidance in 2.1.8. Review the rest of SATRE to see if this confusion could arise elsewhere.
