Can there be an option to change this behaviour?

Is the caps lock feature really toggled, or are you just seeing the LED light up during the compose sequence? The LED lighting up is a feature.

Note also that the compose key can always be “pressed by itself without any other keys”. It is not a modifier key.

Ah, that is right, the keyboard light is on but there is no caps-lock behaviour. Still, I would like it to be off; is there a way to get that behaviour?

This was implemented upon user request (#82, #165). I will add an option to disable the behaviour.

That is an awesome feature that should be available even if another key is chosen as ⎄ Compose. Same with the lights for Scr Lock and Num Lock.

…uences.

The default behaviour is to match the compose key if it has a LED. See #270.

Hi! The new feature is ready and will be available in the next release.

  • For @moon-chilled: set this option to “Disabled” and WinCompose will never interfer with the keyboard LEDs
  • For @greywatcher : set this option to “Num Lock” and the Caps Lock LED will be lit during sequences even if your compose key is not Caps Lock
  • For everybody else: leave the option to “Compose” and the current behaviour will apply

This bug is fixed in WinCompose 0.9.4. Thanks for your patience!
