SDM Card (Key Species) should calculate percent overlap of 2010-2020 baseline species distribution models with sketch.
On pause until further updates from planning committee.
Breeding birds
Fish (need subset list)
Mammals (need subset list)
Turtles
Notes:
Move to using presence/absence rasters provided by Araujo lab in SDMs (north atlantic) > Birds > All birds > all_bird_PAs, which has a raster per species with 15 bands. Band 1 = baseline. Band 2-8 = climate scenario 119. Band 9-15 = climate scenario 585. Values are discrete (0,1).
Use percent area overlap, with baseline data (band 1)
Potential to create multiband baseline rasters where each band is a different species
Araujo lab is working on a species persistence data product which could also be useful in reporting
Questions:
Should grouping (Birds, turtles, mammals, etc) be divided in the sdmAreaOverlap function, or should grouping be set by a metric value (groupId?).
Should rasters be pre-clipped or clipped in GP? Consider clipping to island later on.
What are the key species which should be included in reports? (i.e. Breeding birds (~10 spp vs ~100 all birds)
Should we be verifying SDM overlap with "your plan contains at least 1 confirmed observation of this species" check?

There may be additional work to be done on the report where a species is predicted to be present only if a value is above a given minimum threshold. I think Miguel hinted at his. And we did this threshold filtering for the azores offshore Fish Habitat report's data prep.
