Small Office Network Project

Welcome to the Small Office Network project using Cisco Packet Tracer. This project simulates a small office network with four distinct networks:

  • Server Room
  • Chairman Room
  • IT Department
  • Computer Department. This README file will guide you through the installation process, provide tutorials for learning Cisco Packet Tracer, and include steps for configuring end devices, switches, and routers.

Installation Instructions

  • Download Cisco Packet Tracer: Visit the official Cisco Networking Academy website to download Cisco Packet Tracer. You may need to create an account or log in to access the download link.

  • Install Cisco Packet Tracer: Follow the installation instructions provided with the downloaded file. Cisco Packet Tracer is available for various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.

  • Open the Project File: Download the Small Office Network project file and open it in Cisco Packet Tracer. You can find the project file attached to this repository.

  • Explore the Network: Once the project is opened, you can explore the Small Office Network. Familiarize yourself with the layout and components of each network.

Configuration Steps

Configuring End Devices (PCs)

  • Assign IP Address:
    • Click on the PC.
    • Go to the Desktop tab.
    • Select IP Configuration.
    • Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.

Configure Router:

  • Click on the router.
  • Assign IP address to the router
  • Assign static routing in order to send and receive packets from different networks. Refer to the tutorial mentioned above.
