Ocelot Media Server is an open and free way of streaming your media. It offers an alternative to proprietary software such as Emby and Plex, while also being built from scratch in contrast to Jellyfin. The choice of language for this project is Golang as it will provide a simple, yet fast cross-platform experience.

Ocelot Media Server is for now, and for the long future, going to be nowhere near Jellyfin in terms of feature-richness. That being said, my goal with this project is for it to be close one day. As it is a hobby project I will try my best but it will be a long time till it provides a smooth experience.

Current Status

The project is in an extremely early stage with no proper functionality. I plan to write dev logs that detail my journey which you can find here.
