Encoding/Decoding issues

With the introduction of Python 3 support, I added a number of decode/encode operations.

This seems to be problematic.

Build scripts can break rebench when they return non-ASCII values (observed on the AWFY benchmarks).
Think, we need to add tests for this, and see how this can be fixed.
