Hi, this PR is adding an option to avoid the added trailing slash to the path in the connection as has been done in the engine-client socketio/engine.io-client#694. Resolving socketio/socket.io-client#1550.

The kind of change this PR does introduce

  • a code change that improves performance

what about uServer, I think we need to update it too, right? and would love to know, what uServer is used for?

The "addTrailingSlash" option allows to control whether a trailing
slash is added to the path of the HTTP requests:

- true (default): "/engine.io/"
- false: "/engine.io"
