Working on clearing dependency advisories reported by snyk.io ( https://snyk.io/test/npm/socket.io-client/1.4.8 ). I think the underlying vulnerability was already addressed before, now just doing a version bump so the old version of ws is no longer in the dependency chain.

Other tasks that need to be done to clear the advisory are:

  • A (minor) version bump of socket.io-client to 1.4.9 and publishing the npm package.
    I can make the changes in History.md and package.json if you like. Let me know.
  • Also need to do a similar set of bumps in socket.io

Travis-ci issues seem to be due to out of date configs and #985 seems to be the fix for them.
