Hi, I am Rahul and I am an engineer on the Android Toolkit team at Google. I've done a bunch of open source projects with support from Google including @openid/AppAuth-JS and @openid/OpenYOLO-Web. Both these projects try making Identity and Authentication easier.

Apart from shepherding these projects, I also have fun building self-driving RC cars and am one of the core-committers on donkeycar. This was originally a way for me to explore the world of Machine Learning and now I can't stop building cars.

Current projects

• Make donkeycar's training pipeline an order of magnitude faster and make it super easy to add more steps in the pipeline.
• I recently added TensorRT support to donkeycar. I plan to add an accelerometer for determining throttle and use a transfer learnt based on Resnet50 to do steering. Also my pre-processing steps will include an attempt at lane detection and obstacle detection.
• Experiments with the new Azure Kinect DK to do more computer vision using Kotlin. Some of my previous work is here. I built kotlin-native stubs for the C SDK on Linux.
• Experiments with Machine Learning do do generative text and images and blog about it. This will include my own take on Neural Style Transfer.
• Experiment with QMK firmware for the new keyboard I bought. This will be a forcing function for me to writing something using the C language which I have not done professionally in years.
• Write more blog-posts on https://rahulrav.com/blog.
