Hi there! I'm YaHeng, a Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I'm currently working on contributing to Webaverse, a set of frameworks for making mixed reality applications as a part of the MLH Fellowship!

Apart from Webaverse, I'm interested in backend systems and distributed computing. I've worked on some blockchain-related technologies during my internships at SecureKey Technologies, and am very interested to see where decentralization will take us in the future.

Sponsorship to me is important because it allows me to focus on what I love doing most - building things! I'll most likely be using these funds in an educational manner and to pay for my tuition, taking the weight off my shoulders and letting me focus on learning.
