Slack - Github Action

A Github Action to send a message to a Slack channel that supports attachments like images.

Configuration

You must set a Slack webhook environment value in settings page of your repository in order to use without any problem. Please see here to learn how to do it if you don't know already.

Usage

Create a workflow, set a step that uses this action and don't forget to specify the slack_webhook as a required variable.

Output

If you've set an attachment, only the attachment you provide will be sent to Slack. Otherwise, here's the default output if you've not set any attachment.

Advanced Usage

If you want to show different messages based on succes or failure of previous steps in your workflow, use success and failure functions.
