Contao 4.4.0 & Change Language 3.1.3 - Missing select button to choose main language page

Hi there!

I just installed Contao 4.4.0 and added change_language plus requisites via Composer. All works fine thus far, except for one thing: oddly, when configuring secondary language pages, I can't choose corresponding main language pages as there is no visible radio button or check box to do so.
I am thus unable to build a complete language tree that it switchable in the end. It looks as if the add-on jumps straight to the "page tree edit"-modal view instead of showing the "page select"-view.

Worked correctly in Contao 3.5.27, though.

You set the main language in the page settings of each page. It worked the same way in changelanguage 2.x as well. However, now in changelanguage 3.x it's a pageTree widget instead of a select.

Hallo Herr Gschwantner, jetzt einfach mal auf Deutsch. Ich habe unter Contao 3.5.27 eine Entwicklungssistallation laufen, da funktioniert die Zuordnung der korrespondierenden Seite in der Fallback-Sprache reibungslos. Unter Contao 4.4.0 mit der aktuellen Change_Language-Erweiterung jedoch kann ich in den Seiteneinstellungen mittels des Buttons "Seite in Hauptsprache -> Auswahl ändern" zwar den Seitenbaum öffnen, bekomme dort jedoch keine Möglichkeit zur Auswahl angezeigt. Einzig die Icons zur Bearbeitung der angelegten Seiten sind vorhanden, als sei ich nicht über die Bearbeitung der Einzelseite in diese Maske geraten, sondern direkt unter "Seitenstruktur" abgebogen. Kurz gesagt: Mir wird nach einem Klick auf "Auswahl ändern" genau das Gleiche angezeigt, als hätte ich im CMS-Menü auf "Seitenstruktur" geklickt - ohne Möglichkeit die Zuordnung zwischen Seiten herzustellen. Es wirkt ein wenig so, als geriete ich in eine Schleife, wenn ich versuche z.B. für meine "Startseite (DE)" die Fallback-Seite "Home (EN)" festzulegen. Dies kann ich sogar optisch nachvollziehen, da ich innerhalb des sich öffnenden Modal-Dialogs wieder per Modal eine Seite bearbeiten darf, dort erneut auf "Auswahl ändern" klicken darf, nur um erneut den Seitenbaum angezeigt zu bekommen - wieder mit den Bearbeitungstools für Seiten, jedoch ohne Markierungsmöglichkeit für die Fallback-Zuordnung (Schleifen-Problem siehe Screenshot). [image: Inline-Bild 1] Zur Information: Es sind zwei Startpunkte angelegt, einmal Deutsch, einmal Englisch. Im Englisch-Startpunkt sind Fallback-Sprache "en", sowie die Angaben "Sprachen-Fallback" und "Dies ist die Hauptdomain." ausgewählt. Vielleicht konnte ich jetzt mein Problem ein wenig verständlicher schildern. Mit besten Grüßen Thomas Wolf

Yes it's more clear now :). And I am able to reproduce the problem indeed. Currently the page picker in changelanguage 3.x does not work in Contao 4.4.0. Probably due to the changes introduced with the general DCA picker.

May be a core-bundle bug. See also contao/core-bundle#883

Are you sure the PR contao/core-bundle#906 fixes the problem entirely?

I used the fix but then no pages will be shown at all.
Maybe the picker could not initialized correctly because the method setRootNodesForPage is not called in PageInitializationListener.php because there is no GET-Paramter act at all with the picker.

After a test with the currently changes in contao/core-bundle hotfix/4.4.1, it's still not possible to select a fallback page.

Hallo, auch nach updatze auf 4.4.2 sehe ich beim Öffnen des Seitenauswahl-Dialogfensters keine Seiten, wenn ich aber filtere nach z.B. Sprache = de, dann sind die Seiten mit Radio-Button da. Bei mir geht der Workaround, da alle meine Aliase mit 'blu' anfangen, dass ich danach filtere und dann die Auswahl machen kann :-) (host bei jweiland)
