## FAQ

#### What does it mean when I get "error: vehicle rejected request: your public key has not been paired with the vehicle" ?

Your public key needs to be paired with vehicle first so the commands signed with your private key can be verified on the vehicles. Please refer to [Distributing your public key](#distributing-your-public-key) section for more details.

#### How to resolve "Unauthorized missing scopes" error?

The token that is being provided does not have the required [scopes](https://developer.tesla.com/docs/fleet-api#authorization-scopes) for the current resource. To resolve this issue, you need to ask the user revoke the consent first. After that, you need to ask for a new consent with the right scopes. If previous consent is not revoked, the later consents would not change the scopes.
