Is there a way to ignore all TILE devices? #283
-
Hi, I don't own any TILE devices but I live near a school and I suspect a lot of the kids are carrying them and I see a lot of them being added to my Home Assistant, every morning/afternoon when they arrive/leave school. Is there any way to exclude all "TILE" devices, instead of by address of each Bluetooth device? Thx |

While you cannot filter out any device categories from being received and published to MQTT messages you can restrict the publishing to your own devices by using a white-list for your own devices. But to avoid having devices automatically added to Home Assistant, you should generally turn off Or to filter out Tiles or any other device decoder category you can use the DISCOVERY_FILTER option to add TILE to the already existing IBEACON discovery filter entry. In general turning off Discovery completely after your own devices have been auto-discovered is the best option, and only briefly turn it on again when you do get new devices you want auto-discovered in Home Assistance. |
