issues saving new "site" #348
Comments
I wrote some notes here about what's going on. Usually it happens if you have updated the site in another browser or browser tab. What browser and operating system are you using? Does the problem continue after a "shift-reload", i.e. hold down shift and click reload? |
(Apologies for the slow response.) |
No worries. Thanks for responding. I'll also try your suggestions in the
other email response you sent if it happens again. But anyhow...
I retried a week later when I saw you'd addressed someone else's query, and
the save went through. Could be just internet congestion, which happens
kinda frequently where I live in "regional" Australia.
FYI my system specs are
Windows 10, a gaming computer so it has fair grunt.
I use Brave but I think I need to review my brower now to ensure Timimi
works going forward for my offline wikis.
Questions re. Tiddlyhost ---
Firstly thank you for providing the service. Its handy to have as a backup
for collaboration, I mostly use it to demonstrate TW5 to others. I still
have much to learn but I love TiddlyWiki and I'm committed to sticking with
it. In 2025 I'll be teaching some other "retirees" how to get set up.
My question... I'm curious about your freemium/pricing page. It's a big
jump between Free $0 and Standard $96/yr plan - what extras are offered? I
thought TiddlySpot was just the forerunner to Tiddlyhost?
Also I read the FAQs and wondered if there was a way I could assist you as
a way of contributing rather than $$. For example, with writing the
tutorials for self-hosting (or something like that?) I still have
reasonable skills in HTML/CSS - but only very basic javascript. And before
retiring I'd paid for enterprise hosting in advance (until Sep.2028), which
I no longer use - but could offer?
Regards,
Kerry Gray

Oh, and not at all saying I wouldn't be prepared to contribute $$ for your
efforts.

I've managed to create 2 tiddlers but don't seem to be able to update edits to control panel. The "save" button stays red.
Also, if you need any help I can spare a few hours each week. I appreciate having access to Tiddlyhost (not that I do a lot with it).
