Ligatures were already supported on Windows when using DirectX renderer (instructions).
In addition to that ligature support has recently been added for GTK GUI (vim/vim@4eeedc0, instructions).

This leaves a gap in the middle of the "Doesn't work" column as the right side content wasn't shifted up a row

O, I thought you were talking about gap between columns, which increased. Fixed again :)
