Improve plotting when metadata setpoints are obviously wrong. #341

It may happen that the user has created a dataset where the setpoints are inverted in the metadata leading to incorrect plotting. Here we handle the most obvious case where the setpoints are identical along the axis of interest by falling back to guessing the shape in such cases.

Catch obviously wrong axis where there is no variation of
the setpoints along the axis and try falling back to
guessing the shape.
