DONE

• Glue the 4 grids to foam to make the cylinder (run the wires through the foam to the center)
• Make the top foam plate
• Make the brim foam ring

The Processors

• Remove the 2 resistors from each board
• Solder-bridge all of them
• Add a 1K pull-down resistor for the button
• Add patch wires for the button
• Add wires to the button

Power

• Solder the connectors to the batteries
• Attach the DC converter to the battery connector
• Add the slide switch to the converter
• Add all wire runs to the converter (leave them all hanging)

Cylinder

• Run the 16G power/ground wires for the cylinder
• Run the 4 data lines
• Test the cylinder
• Do some current studies

Brim

• Cut all segments and solder them in the chain
• Test the chains
• Mark the hat where the chains go and paint the edges black
• Mount the chains to the brim foam
• Test the chains
• Mount the foam brim to the hat
• Test the chains

Top

• Cut the black poster paper top
• Attach the rings to the poster paper (run the wires through)
• Attach the segments to the poster paper (run the wires through)
• Attach the poster paper to the foam top
• Run the power and data lines
• Test the top
• Mount the foam top of the hat

Installing

• Firm up the wire connectors
• Use velcro to mount everything in the hat
