Thanks @aluveitie I'll investigate that.

It's not so much the general operatinal fan noice I'm trying to lower, although that's nice to do, it's the regular chaning of fan noise from quiet to loud that's the most annoying with my system. One moment it's sitthing there fairly quiet, then when I launch something the fans spin up, then die down again. I'm running a Corsair H100x liquid cooler with its stock Corsai fans, which by all accounts would benefit from swapping with something from Noctua anyway.

i run a 3700x with a vega 64 on an aorus b550 pro
cant find chip name only chipset what b550

but when i click on fan control i get:
Could not found driver for your smc
you smc chip is likely not supported

how can i fix this

@WebMichaelDev your chip is likely not supported. To fix this first find out what smc chip you have, then develop a driver or post here and wait for other to develop the driver.

@WebMichaelDev Check your specific SuperIO Chip with HWInfo64 in Windows. It's definitely a ITE Chip, I just don't know the exact type. Very likely that we can support it!

I'm getting all my fans listed in AMD Power Gadget, but https://github.com/gao-sun/eul does not display my fan information. Is this expected? Or is it something that needs to be fixed in the Eul app?

Would it be possible to expose fan sensor and fan control to other applications (e.g. TGPro) to be able to control with fan curves?

@Murmur2k i don’t think it will ever be possible.
Almost all existing system monitoring tools on macOS depends on hard coded smc keys and SMBIOS model. The only possible solution would be to make a new and complete system monitoring tool.

But you can change fan speed curve in BIOS tho.

Thanks - sadly my BIOS settings are a little lacking in that department :( I was able to do this in the past with TG Pro (not AMD CPU then though).. they have a "generic sensor" / hackintosh mode that should pick up any published SMC

Hi Trulyspinach, I posted on #66 but wasn't sure if you would see it. My question is, did you have any luck on supporting the AMD fan controller on the Asrock Creator motherboard? Having no fan control is quite problematic for me. Thanks for your help . #66 (comment)

Hi, As I don't have any motherboard with that particular chip, I would not be working on it.
But feel free to extend the support yourself! There's are tons of code you can use for reference.
