lyluatex has become what lilyglyphs wanted to mimick. Since the presence of lyluatex it has to be strongly considered what lilyglyphs still wants to achieve.

Advantage of using lyluatex is that it's possible to create everything on-the-fly, without having to deal with pre-created PDF snippets.

Advantage of not using lyluatex is that it's not necessary to have a working LilyPond installation and to actually compile the snippets.

My initial thought is to provide a dedicated lilyglyphs command that is only created when lyluatex has been loaded before. (probably it would also be possible to add the functionality manually. Basically this would be a wrapper around \begin{lilypond}[insert=bare-inline], but with the interface consistent with lilyglyphs' positioning and spacing (interface).
