The password does not meet the password policy requirements. #9

I am having the same problem |
I'll check it out. There are several ways of changing passwords. In the next version I'll add a configuration option that allows the user to pick which password change strategy is used. |
Is there a way that we can manually change this while you make an option available? |
I did a deep search, and finnally i found the problem was the minimum age password. |
We still can't change our password successfully and I have played with the GPO settings |
@gabrielsoltz Looks like you are correct. I am having trouble getting my custom group policy to apply to my domain. Can you send over a link or share some details on how to get this to override the default value of 1 day minimum? |
@gabrielsoltz yeah I ran that and it didn't work. Maybe I am setting up the group policy incorrect. The policy shows as minmum password age as 0 .. I run GPUpdate.exe /force and it still shows as 1 .. grrrr |
This may be fixed with #8 |
I have made a pre-release version available under the Releases tab. Please test it out and let me know if it works. |
So I upgraded to the pre-release version because I was also getting the error in this thread and I made the recommended changes in the appsettings.json file and now I'm getting the endless loading issue that others had and I also had originally with version 2.0.0. I went through the steps again listed under troubleshooting to no avail. Any more ideas? I even updated dnvm to the unstable version as per your suggestion. |
Ok, I messed up, I did not publish the file correctly. It should work now. Try the new release please. |
Looks that from issue #8 this one has been fixed with the latest release. Closing Issue. |
It is a old post but might be helpfull for the people like me.I was struggling for 4 days and this link solve my problem. Good Explanation. |
I'm going to add this to the README file. Thanks. |
Hi, thanks for the work.
When i tryed to change a password, I always get the same error:
There was an error changing your password
Error Information: The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800708C5)
But the password policy requirements is meeted. I double checked it manually.
Any idea ?
