Research & Testing Strategy
As the team begins Phase 2 of this project, we will also kick off a new research phase that incorporates lessons learned from Phase 1.
In general, the team will:
Close the loop with VA: As Vets.gov is the only team using is the library in production, we need to get a better sense of what they have built so far and how. Understanding that they are just one client among several, we might treat this more of a retro with the goal to understand what went well / didn’t go well as they are using the library.
Discovery on library adoption (and findability): During Phase I, there were few potential form owners at agencies who were receptive to using library but unfortunately did not end up adopting it during Phase 1. Starting with this group (users who are not using the library but are in an environment where they could), the initial goal would be to:
- Understand how they are currently solving the problem
- Understand more about what they would need to adopt
- Identity any gaps in discoverability of the library, accessing the system, knowledge of those responsible for implementation/maintenance
- Identity unique needs, wants, pain-points
- Find list of commonalities
- Develop user archetypes of form owners
