About These Docs
These are preliminary docs being written by a well-meaning, however beginning, user of CyberPanel while his struggle to find his way along is still fresh in his mind. They therefore contain some useful information however are very incomplete as the author is using only a small portion of CyberPanel's features and new features are continuously being added.
Corrections, suggestions, and additional team members using other features of CyberPanel are most welcome to contribute their knowledge.
In general, documentation is an attempt to explain how to use and how to get the most from a product. There can be so single path through the documentation as it serves a wide range of stakeholders, from those doing an initial product evaluation survey to those attempting to learn the deepest details in order to fine tune an existing installation.
To that end, these docs are being developed in conjunction with some new Benchmarks that focus on ease of use and real-world performance. In the case of CyberPanel, one must reach beyond the control panel proper and discuss some of the underlying products and services it installs as that is where many of the questions arise.
The alternative to documentation is customer support via telephone, email and ticket support. Answering the same questions over and over and over again. In open source projects, that responsibility often falls on the developers, taking their time away from coding new features and fixing bug.
So it is in everyone's best interest to create quality documentation where answers can be quickly and easily found, to keep it up to date, and then to methodically herd the cats into using said docs. Kindly help us with this endeavor by reading what is on offer and then taking the time to fill in the gaps in our documentation.
