Before reporting your issue

  • I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
  • I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled
  • I have tried my best to check existing issues

Repro ExplorerPatcher versions

Explorer Patcher 22621.4317.67.1

Repro Windows Versions

Windows 11 24H2 26100.2894 x64

3rd party tweak software installed

Winaero Tweaker

Describe the bug

  1. I recently upgraded to 24H2 and followed guidance about uninstalling EP before upgrading and then reinstalling and use Window10 (ExplorerPatcher).
  2. Whenever the pc goes into sleep / lock screen and I login / reopen, the icons in the taskbar appear offset to the bottom of the screen, although this does not affect the start button and search button at the left hand side.
  3. If I restart file explorer from within EP it restores all the taskbar icons to their correct position.

Next release will have this problem in the remade taskbar fixed. Don't ask me when -- if you want the fix now, download ep_taskbar.5.dll from here, go to C:\Program Files\ExplorerPatcher, rename ep_taskbar.5.dll into something else, then place the newly downloaded one, and lastly restart Explorer.
