Unfortunately chosen isn't actively supported and DOES NOT SUPPORT MOBILE BROWSERS (Android,iphone etc.) Yadcf can run on any device, so does datatables. I believe adding Select2 will give many more additional options to yadcf and the ability to run on mobile devices with a customized select that has a search ability.
Is there any option or way to use Select2 at the moment?

Atm no, but I will add it to next release or after the next, ofcourse you can add it yourself, it shouldn't be too hard because it should mock the way I integrated the chosen plugin

Added, check out the 0.8.2.beta-2 from here https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vedmack/yadcf/master/lab/jquery.dataTables.yadcf.js and read the updated docs related to select2 (basically same as chosen integration).

Let me know if you get any issues with the select2 integration
