I tested the changes in this PR: briefly
(Just tested the daemon and the pre-included tests)

Local build testing

I built this PR locally for my native architecture, (x86_64-glibc)
I built this PR locally for these architectures:
- x86_64-musl

Removed the patches as both the patches were implemented upstream
