Why? Do you hate GNU?
No, not really. But since Bashism is a thing, why not GNU-ism? Also, competition should be good, right?
What about OpenMandriva? They replaced all things GNU with all things Clang, right?
Yes, but it's just a compiler. GNU is més que un compiler since they claim to be a complete OS, so let's try to replace the components (although some programs like GNU make seems to be difficult to replace).
What about software licensed under GPL (and its variants)? Will they be replaced?
No. GPL (all versions, all variants) are here to stay. I aim to replace all things GNU, not all things GPL. That includes GNU ncurses, which is licensed under MIT-X11 license, but are still excluded.
