It would be nice to have a portable (on USB stick) version of Larch with simple binary installer.

The current installer does work on macOS with arm processors.

Thanks for the reply, Matt. I would like to use miniconda to create a new environment and install Larch on my Mac (arm64). May I ask for a work-around as it seems that no osx-arm64 package could be found at conda-forge currently.

Well, I think "use the available, supported packages and installation methods" would be one workaround. Another might be "work on building such packages and installation methods".

There are supported ways to install. It is certainly feasible to install in your own environment or packaging system, but we may not be able to support that as well.
