Overview

This script puts cscope output to quickfix window, but don't use the cscopequickfix functionality within vim.

Why make this script?

Don't use the cscope-quickfix within vim, because this functionality always jump to the first error. In most cases, the fisrt error is not what we want.

Preparation

1. You must prepare cscope and cscope database (cscope.out file), load your database for vim, see :help cscope.
2. More info about cscope, see cscope home page http://cscope.sourceforge.net/.

Features

1. Create ":Cscope" command, it's similar with "cs find" todo b. Auto load the database(cscope.out file)
2. This script adds keymap macro as follows: <C-> s: Find this C symbol <C-> g: Find this definition <C-> d: Find functions called by this function <C-> c: Find functions calling this function <C-> t: Find this text string <C-> e: Find this egrep pattern <C-> f: Find this file <C-> i: Find files #including this file

Variables

1. g:cs_auto_openqf This variable can control if the quickfix window needs to be open after Cscope command. if don't need, just set it to be 0, default is 1.
2. g:cs_auto_jump This variable can control if need to jump to the first item after running Cscope command. m. Set all of the variables above in your .vimrc, commonly it's $HOME/.vimrc.

Install

Copy cscope_quickfix_jc.vim script to $HOME/.vim/plugin directory.

FAQ

1. The jc suffix in cscope_quickfix_jc.vim is abbreviation of "jump control".
2. how to go back to previous positon atfer quickfix jump? Just Press . m. If you get some bugs on this script, please contact me by sxwjean@gmail.com. The item index 'm' means "max index value" of all of items. Becasue I don't know will add how many items, but the "m" item is expected as the last one.

1. Some cscope versions aren't normal with -e option.
