Support
Starting from version 0.7.0, you can use Fluent Reader with RSS services to enable syncing with other devices.
If you have local sources prior to connecting to a service that share the same source URLs, local articles will be removed while custom rules and preferences will be kept.
Currently, the following services are supported. To suggest a new service, see this issue.
Supported since version 0.7.0.
Tested with Tiny Tiny RSS Fever plugin, FreshRSS, and Miniflux builds after August 9, 2020.
Supported since version 0.7.3.
Supported since version 0.9.0.
Tested with The Old Reader (endpoint: https://theoldreader.com
) and BazQuz Reader (endpoint: https://bazqux.com
). FreshRSS with a version lower than 1.18 may not work properly.
Supported since version 0.9.0.
If you repeatedly observe connection errors after inputting correct credentials, it may be because the app is being rate limited by Inoreader. To get around this, users would have to create and provide their own API Key for Inoreader here using this link starting from version 0.9.1.
Starting from version 1.0.0, you can export the sync configs of your RSS service to Fluent Reader Lite by scanning a QR code.
To export your configs, navigate to "Settings > Service > Export to Fluent Reader Lite" and scan the code with your mobile device's built-in camera app or a scanner app. Then, follow the instructions on the webpage.
You can learn more about Fluent Reader Lite here.
You can set up series of rules that are specific to each subscription source. Rules are executed in order and can be cascaded. To test the effects of rules, input the title and content of an article into the bottom of the page after creating a rule.
Simply entering the desired keywords works for most use cases,
but it is recommended for users to learn more about regular expressions.
Entering .
in the regular expression field would result in a rule that matches all articles.
Starting from version 0.6.0, rules can be used in conjunction with the "fetch automatically" option under "preferences". When an article that matches a rule with the action "notify if fetched in background" arrives, a notification with the title of the article would be sent.
