KiKit error with KiCad 8.04

I just installed KiCad 8.04 and KiKit on a windows PC.
But KiKit comes with this error;

A module that was compiled using NumPy 1.x cannot be run in
NumPy 2.0.0 as it may crash. To support both 1.x and 2.x
versions of NumPy, modules must be compiled with NumPy 2.0.
Some module may need to rebuild instead e.g. with 'pybind11>=2.12'.

If you are a user of the module, the easiest solution will be to
downgrade to 'numpy<2' or try to upgrade the affected module.
We expect that some modules will need time to support NumPy 2.

Nope - I got the same error message

You are not using the just released KiKit v1.6.0, but instead, you use v1.5.1.

Hi Jan, At first it still didn't work - I kept this NumPy 2.0.0 error
Finally I uninstalled KiCad8 completely and fresh installed KiCad 8.04 directly & KiKit 1.6.0 and it works now!

Installing version 1.6.0 was not the solution for my problem with KiKit which occurs after I upgrading from KiCad 8.03 to KiCad 8.04,
even after installing v1.6.0 KiKit crashed. Only uninstalled KiCad8 completely and a direct fresh install of KiCad 8.04 solves in my case this NumPy 2.0 problem.

What exact steps did you do? For me Removing then reinstalling 8.0.4 did not solve the issue. Note, I have KiCAD installed for all users.

First;

• I uninstalled KiCad 8.0 by clicking on the uninstall.exe in the ProgramFiles/KiCad/8.0 folder
• I deleted the user folder MyDocuments/KiCad/8.0 (Perhaps it was sufficient to just delete the Plugin folder)
  Then;
• I installed KiCad 8.04 (which automatically took over my KiCad 7.0 settings)
• I installed the plugins, including KiKit

Thanks, I did the same thing and did not work. In the meantime, however, another method DID work - see my issue #720
