Trying to open an external link does nothing when the active tab is blank #103
Comments
I once encountered this problem, but I haven't to debugging it. |
e10s is disabled; changing default to IE and back had no effect. |
可以复现这个bug,具体步骤为: 已禁用其他扩展,未开启e10s,firefox48.0.2x86,win10 |
i have the same problem with external links and it also happens with "Super Start" and "Speed Dial [FVD]" (new tab replacements) on w7 32/64 + ff 48 x86/x64, w10 + ff 48 x64 (e10s is disabled) |
Fixed in 2017.02.04, please check it. |
For me, page loads (tab title changes), but doesn't render until I switch to another tab and back. |
same for me. |
Thanks for the report. I see it. |
When I click on a link in Thunderbird, and Firefox is currently set to blank tab ("New Tab"), then the Firefox window gains focus, but nothing else happens. If I instead have a normal page open (or the Add-ons Manager), then the page will properly start loading in a new tab. Possibly a FF48 regression.
When the setting "Open links from external applications" is changed to "Current Tab", it does what it says. But the option "New Tab" misbehaves as described above.
I disabled all addons except tabutils to rule out an unintended interaction. Still happens.
I wasn't able to reproduce this in a clean XP VM, even after I copied my Firefox profile there.
ProcMon reports that the shell invokes the standard "firefox.exe -osint -url [url]" command.
