KaTeX is much faster to render, and is used successfully to render the Halo2 book (zcash/halo2) and the TFL book (Electric-Coin-Company/tfl-book).

Switch from MathJax to KaTeX. fixes zcash#432

(zip-guide *incorrectly* said that we were already using KaTeX. This has
been wrong since zcash#645.)
