Môsi is a tool for making small game worlds.
When you first start it up, you'll be greeted with a randomly generated world, full of enigmatic things.
At the top of the Môsi screen is a row of buttons. These control which panel you're looking at - world, sprites, palettes, music, play, and the welcome screen.
The play panel is a good place to start. Since Môsi starts you off with a ready-made world, you can start exploring right away.
In the world panel, you can give your world a name, set the world to wrap around horizontally and vertically, and open up individual rooms for editing.
In the sprites panel you can edit the existing avatar sprite, or the floor and wall tiles, and start adding new ones of your own. For example, you could create a friend for the player to talk to - create a new sprite, draw something on the canvas, and give it a script to say when the player bumps into them.
There's much more in Môsi to play around with, but when you're ready to share your game, you can return to the play panel and click the 'share' button in the upper-right corner. This will let you download it as a stand-alone HTML file that you can upload to itch.io or your own website.
You can also create GIFs to share while in the panels for editing rooms and sprites.
