Thanks for the PR! I wasn't aware of this -panel-corner-border-width attribute.

However, since the original theme is also setting this attribute for #panel .panel-corner, I believe it would be more robust to set this attribute with more specific selectors that includes the classes added by this extension. I'll do that after merging this PR.
