Manual homescreen

The Home Screen is the main account listing screen in K-9; unless you've configured it specially, it's the place you go to when you first start a copy of K-9 that's already been configured with at least one mailbox.

It will show you a list of all your mailboxes, with New and Starred message counts, as well as the Unified Inbox and All Messages "pseudo-folders".

The Unified Inbox shows you all messages which are on your device, not yet marked as read, and are in folders flagged to be included in the Unified Inbox by selecting 'Unify' in their folder settings; this is generally automatically set On for folders named Inbox, and Off for any other folder, though you can modify this however you please.

The All Message folder shows you all messages which are in folders marked as searchable. A folder is "searchable" because, in Account Settings->Folders, it is selected by Folders To Search (which in turn may depend on Folders to Display, and how individual folders are marked, as First or Second Class; see Folder Class for an extended discussion of this.

The Starred message counts are retrieved from the server for IMAP (and possibly Exchange) type mailboxes; they may reflect messages which have been purged from a local cache due to date or maximum message count limitations set in Account Settings.
