ZKard: Rechargeable Anonymous Payment System

ZKard is an innovative payment system built on zkSync, enabling fast, permissionless, and anonymous payments. This monorepo contains both the card emissor and the frontend code for the checkout process.

Project Overview

ZKard leverages blockchain technology to provide a seamless and secure payment experience:

  • Each ntag424 card is uncloneable and its signature can be verified by the emissor.
  • Cards are associated with Abstract Accounts that can be "recharged".
  • The emissor owns these accounts and can make payments from them when verified by the card signature.
  • Gas fees are handled by a General Paymaster that maintains a list of addresses it pays for (the addresses associated with the cards).

The result is a transparent experience for the end user: Tap to pay, fast and secure.
